Decorate a cake, make a wish, blow out the candles
Make sure the microphone toggle at the top of the screen is on (it looks like a mic icon) and that you've allowed microphone access when prompted. Blow steadily and directly toward the phone from a few inches away — a short, weak puff may not register. You can also just tap a candle to put it out by hand.
The microphone is used only to detect when you blow, so the candles can react in real time. Audio is processed on your device and is never recorded or sent anywhere.
Camera access is optional — turn it on with the camera toggle if you'd like the app to snap a photo of you the moment the last candle goes out. If you leave it off, the camera is never used.
After the candles are blown out, use the Share button to save the photo to your library or send it to someone. If you enabled the camera, your photo is included alongside the cake.
Yes — from the very first screen, choose "Design & Share a Card" instead of "Decorate a Cake, Blow Out Candles" to make and share a birthday card without any candles involved.
No. Everything you create stays on your device unless you choose to share or save it yourself — there's no account, sign-in, or cloud sync.
