Color Mood: Journal & Relax is private by design. Your journal entries, moods, notes, doodles and health data stay on your device and are never shared. Anonymous usage info not linked to your identity may be collected (see Analytics below). The free version also shows ads (see Advertising below).
The app requests your location once when you log a mood entry, solely to fetch local weather conditions at that moment. Your location is never stored, tracked over time, or transmitted to anyone other than the weather service (Open-Meteo, which is GDPR-compliant and does not store personal data).
The app uses the microphone in the following features: blowing to extinguish candles, and audio-reactive mode in Lava Lamp and Color Bath where visuals respond to ambient sound or music in real time. Audio is processed on-device and is never recorded, saved, or transmitted.
With your permission, the app reads sleep, steps, exercise minutes, resting heart rate, and heart rate variability from Apple Health to show how they correlate with your mood. This data is never uploaded, shared, or stored outside your device.
All journal entries, mood logs, doodles, and rant & release content are stored locally on your device only and are never transmitted to any server.
The free version of the app displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect non-personalized advertising data including approximate device details and ad interaction metrics. We use non-personalized ads only — Google does not use your advertising identifier (IDFA) or build a profile based on your usage. Pro users (one-time purchase or active subscription) see no ads.
The app sends anonymous usage counts to TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service. This data never includes your moods, colors, notes, tags or health data. It contains no name, email or advertising identifier; the device identifier is hashed before it is sent, so it cannot be linked back to you. This data is not used for tracking or advertising.
All journal entries and app data are stored locally on your device. To delete all data, delete the app from your device. Individual entries can be deleted within the app.
Your journal entries, moods, notes and health data are stored on your device and are never transmitted to our servers. Journal lock is protected by Face ID, Touch ID, or a custom PIN stored in your device's secure Keychain.
Color Mood: Journal & Relax does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The app stores all data locally on-device and does not transmit personal information to any server.
