Word Chain is developed by an independent developer. This policy explains how the app handles your data.

Data We Collect

The app itself does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.

The app contains advertising provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect non-personalized advertising data including:

• Approximate device information (for ad delivery)
• Ad interaction data (for reporting and fraud prevention)

The app uses non-personalized ads only. Google does not use your advertising identifier (IDFA) or build a profile based on your usage.

Voice Recognition

Voice input is powered by Apple's built-in speech recognition — the same technology used for iPhone keyboard dictation. On devices that support it, recognition runs entirely on your iPhone; otherwise audio is processed by Apple according to Apple's Privacy Policy. The developer never receives or stores your voice data.

Game Center

If you use Game Center, scores and achievements are handled by Apple. We do not have access to your Game Center data beyond what Apple provides through their standard APIs.

Third-Party Services

• Google AdMob — serves ads. See Google's privacy policy.
• Apple Game Center — leaderboards and achievements. See Apple's privacy policy.
• Wiktionary — word definitions fetched on demand. See Wikimedia's privacy policy.

Data Storage

Game scores and settings are stored locally on your device only and are never transmitted to any server.
